In the Gifford house, we each take turns to make breakfast. On Tuesdays, it’s Gunnars’s turn to make breakfast. He usually makes buttermilk pancakes for all of us. We love to eat his pancakes. We have it every week.

We love this recipe and we have used this recipe many times. This recipe is very simple and even kids can do it.
You only need 8 ingredients which include 2 cups of flour, 2 tbsp of sugar, 2 tsp of baking powder, 1 tsp of baking soda, 1 tsp salt, 2 cups of buttermilk, 4 tbsp of oil, and 2 eggs.
Instructions: buttermilk pancakes recipe kids can cook
First you mix all the dry ingredients which are flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Then you mix it up. Next, you put all the wet ingredients in which are eggs, buttermilk, and oil then mix it really well. Once you mix it all up you get your griddle or pan ready you get some batter and put it on the griddle or pan. Once they start cooking, you can check it to see if that side cooked well enough. Then you flip it over and put it on a plate to cool off a little bit. Repeat the dipping and cooking part for each pancake. Cover it with your favorite toppings. Ours are butter and syrup.
